☆☆☆☆☆5 STAR - AMAZING, couldn't put it down, highly recommend (emotions bursting at the seams)

Kelsey Callihan is a hopeless romantic that is looking for her happily-ever-after. Trip Lexington has only been in Sterling Canyon for several months, but the local women and snow bunnies know him all too well. Trip is a tall, smoking hot, green-eyed Cowboy who knows just how to sweet talk the ladies. He wants nothing more than his one night trysts. Kelsey may be overly attracted to Trip, but she surely knows her bounds - or so she thinks.

After some shameless flirting, Trip and Kelsey agree to a "no strings" affair as long as Trip follows through with his side of the bargain which is to help Kelsey find love with another guy. As things get heated, the table starts to turn. The other man ends up being Trip's half-brother who is completely opposite to him and has had it out for him since the day they met. Will Kelsey get hurt?  Should Kelsey move on? As life throws them the biggest obstacle imaginable, they make a choice. Does Trip want more? Can they go through it all together or will Trip end up I bed with someone else?

There was so much hope, love, humor and devastation wrapped into Secretly Hers, book two of Sterling Canyon series written by Jamie Beck. This book addressed so many emotions, life trials and lessons that allowed me to follow along with more than the simple satisfaction of a romance novel. My heart ached for Kelsey from the very beginning. Kelsey wanted a husband and children so deeply that she lost sight in the falling in love part and the desire towards a life partner. Trip was that classic, yet swoon worthy male that wanted the least bit of connection possible other than the connections between the sheets. His past is what made him, shaped him to be so cynical to not knowing what "love" even meant and why anyone would even desire it. Kelsey opened him up to see and feel more. They faced a tragic and heart-wrenching time and that connection forced them one way or the other - go their separate ways or realize what they could have would be real, rare and lasting.

There were other aspects to this book that I thoroughly liked such as the backstories that stayed afloat throughout the book - Grey and Avery, Kelsey at the Inn, the friendship between Avery, Kelsey and Emma, Trip's family dynamic and others.

The book cover is sweet, inviting and fits perfectly to match the contents of Secretly Hers.

This author has a gift to add many layers to her stories and develop them into series. After just a handful of her books, I have already grown extremely fond of Jamie Beck's writing and her vision to pack flair, wit, charm and substance into her books. I would highly recommend this book along with the rest of the series.

Grey Lowell may be new to town, but Avery Randall and her girl friends surely know of this ruggedly handsome backcountry guide and his friend, Trip. Grey coins nickname's for people, but can't keep his thoughts or hands off "Bambi" also known as Avery, homegrown local, Physical Therapist. After an accident caused by Avery's brother leaves Grey in the hospital, Grey's future becomes questionable as to how he will recover. Avery and Grey's future doesn't look too promising considering the conflicts they face. Avery doesn't know who to trust. Can Avery let down her walls that guard her heart? Can Grey love someone again after his heartbreaking past?

I can not wait until the book release of Unexpectedly Hers (Sterling Canyon, book 3) which is due to hit the market on February 21, 2017.
By day, bashful wallflower Emma Duffy works at her family’s bed-and-breakfast. By night, she secretly pens erotic romance hot enough to melt the snow in their cozy Rockies town. But Emma’s real life is about to heat up when her mother books the entire inn to a professional snowboarder, hoping the publicity will put them on the map. In a karmic twist of fate, that guest is Wyatt Lawson, the man with whom Emma had shared the secret one-night stand that became the inspiration for her novel and its dreamy hero. Worse, a film crew is documenting his comeback just as her debut is about to hit the shelves. Emma’s only saving grace is that Wyatt doesn’t remember her—and hopefully he never will. When Wyatt arrives in Sterling Canyon for several weeks of intense training, the last tumble he expects to take is falling for a girl, especially one as shy as Emma. Unlike groupies with their hidden agendas, she isn’t using him—or so he believes…until the film crew uncovers Emma’s pen name and steamy novel. Wyatt’s comeback run can withstand a fall or two, but can his heart recover from this crash and burn?
