☆☆☆☆☆5 STAR - AMAZING, couldn't put it down, highly recommend (emotions bursting at the seams)

Ellie Hawthorne and Connor Grayson were high school sweethearts until Ellie was left heartbroken and alone at prom. Several years later, she wakes up in a Las Vegas hotel room with a ring on her finger. How much did she drink? Who did she marry? That answer comes quickly as she sees Connor. Ellie's past comes flooding back. This was obviously a mistake and a quick divorce is needed immediately. Just then, Connor gets a phone call about his grandmother, Viola being in the hospital and it not looking too good. Viola had a heart attack. He can't lose her, he just can't. As her wish for him replays in his head - he decides to ask Ellie for a favor to come back to their hometown as a happily married couple until Viola gets better.

As they return, they have rules - do not fall in love and a divorce is inevitable. As Ellie and Connor help with a huge project for Viola, they grow closer than ever before. Can they separate feelings from their physical attraction? Can they follow the rules? was getting married really an accident? Were they set up?

I whole-heartedly enjoyed this new released book, Married at Midnight by Gerri Russell. This book was full of surprise, drama, laughter, heartbreak, family, love and about ten other emotions that made me want to jump through the pages yet not want the book to end at the same time. This author did a fantastic job with setting the characters and story which allowed this book to pop off the pages and lets the reader visualize everything between these pages.

Ellie's story was so moving. As a reader, I could not help but rally behind her. I felt an instant connection as if I was hoping for happiness for a friend or loved one. To me, that is pretty powerful and I take that into account when reading a book and makes me delve into other books written by said author.

I just loved Viola and her quirky yet solid demeanor as she set the tone in this book to a different height.

As much as I do not want to ruin this book for future readers, I do have to admit my excitement at the way this ended with hopes and even plea's that Gerri Russell continues this story with another. She set the ending so beautifully that I definitely think that this could continue into another 5 star read!

I HIGHLY recommend you to pick up this book as I truly found this to be a gem! I will be purchasing this book to add to my physical bookshelf and would definitely recommend this as an incredible bookclub read - so much to discuss during/ after reading Married at Midnight!
