☆☆☆☆4 STAR - Great book & would recommend book (two thumbs up)

Thirty year old, Jackson St. James takes some time to himself to get things back on track. With a problem with drinking, het takes off to Vermont to clear his head. Leaving his construction company in the hands of a friend, Jackson decides this escape is just what he needs. He didn't think he would drop one vice and pick up another. He thought trying to help Gabby Bouchard, a damsel in distress along the county road would just be a good deed while on his way to his new temporary living arrangement in Vermont.

Gabby, 22 years old is the daughter of Jackson's new landlord. As much as Jackson tries to shake her off. He can't. Jackson falls for Gabby and her toddler son. Jackson goes out of his way to lend out his hand to help Gabby and her family. Is that enough? Will Jackson's mild denial regarding his drinking problem make things worse? Gabby grew up with the personal knowledge of what addiction is like. Gabby's mom was a drug addict and doesn't trust to let her back into her life. Gabby's ex goes out of his way to make things more difficult for the already head over heels - Jackson and Gabby. Can they overcome it all? What happens when Jackson has to go back to his life?

I absolutely loved this series written by Jamie Beck. It contained heartache, addiction, forgiveness, second chances, lust and love. I was able to relate to Gabby's story in Worth The Risk which may have added a heightened connection between myself and this story. This author does an impeccable job with making her stories come alive and sink into your core. I very much look forward to reading more by this author. I highly recommend reading this series. I would say that this book could definitely be read as a stand alone, but would recommend starting with book 1 - Worth The Wait. Each of these three books had awesome story lines and as I read they kept getting better.
