☆☆☆☆4 STAR - Great book & would recommend book (two thumbs up)
You think you know your family. How well? How can a lifetime of secrets be kept hidden? Nell Williams and her sister, Bridget thought they knew all that they needed to know of their mothers life. Mary, their mother was comfortably living in an assisted living facility in Massachusetts. Or was she? Nell received a phone call that Mary was in the intensive care unit at a Vermont hospital. How is that possible?
As things begin to unfold, Mary's daughters started to realize that nothing seems to be as they thought. Will they get all the answers they need? When do the secrets end?
This was the first book that I have read by Gail Cleare. The Taste of Air was full of warmth, turmoil, sacrifice, secrets, love and family. I felt an odd connection to this story. She writes with a clear vision and I will be looking into reading more from her.
Gail Cleare has written for newspapers, magazines, Fortune 50 companies and AOL. Her award-winning ad agency represented the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. She was the turtle Leonardo's date for the world premiere of the second TMNT movie, and got to wear a black evening gown and sparkly shoes.
Gail lives on an 18th century farm in Massachusetts with her family and dogs, cats, chickens, black bears, blue herons, rushing streams and wide, windy skies. She's into organic gardening and nature photography, and can often be found stalking wild creatures with a 300 mm lens.
