☆☆☆☆☆5 STAR - AMAZING, couldn't put it down, highly recommend (emotions bursting at the seams)
Andy Shaw, a single (HOT!!!) father of two is trying to do it all. With a self-absorbed, snob of an ex-wife Blaire, he is raising his daughter and son on his own. Juggling single parenthood with a demanding, high status career is no easy task. Andy manages to build his sports agent status to a whole new level, running a successful company, but at what cost? Is being rich worth it? How many times can he disappoint his young children by not making more time? His heart breaks at each let down and frown on those little faces.
His friend introduces the idea of bringing on a new sports agent to free up his time. Here comes "bombshell" Danicka Douglas. She is an agent who wants more, but can her killer physical appeal hold her back from being taken seriously in this sports "man" industry?
The chemistry between Andy and Dani flows off of them at first sight. Can Dani risk her reputation for Andy? Can Andy hold back the thoughts and visions he has when thinking of her? The pull is so magnetic, but is that enough to act on it?
Dani's life gets turned upside down. Who is this stalker? If she ignores it, will they move on? At what length will they go to hurt her? Does she know who it is?
With many obstacles, the drive keeps Dani and Andy at bay.. until they can't fight that urge. Can Andy and Dani's new found attraction and love beat the odds? Can they make it through the storm? Are the stakes too high? Or will their love be the ultimate score?
I read Even the Score by Beth Ehemann as a stand alone before realizing that this book is a spin off from the author's Cranberry Inn series. This was a great "stand alone" read and LOVED it! So much so that I plan on rewinding through Beth Ehemann's Cranberry Inn series because I must know more. She brought this book to life. Interesting plot, great line up of characters and the thrill of the switch off of... I think I know...Oh, I don't know anticipation. This book read with such ease and I very much look forward to reading more from this author.
